La Moneuse Saison
This beer pours a deep, golden, cloudy color with a moderate amount of head. It smells of coriander and oranges and as one would expect these flavors are also detected in the taste. There is also a spicness that is experienced at the back of the throat. This may sound great but I couldn’t get past this beer’s overwhelming carbonation. I felt like I was drinking champagne and during the initial tastes any flavors I could have potentially enjoyed were completely overpowered by the compressed CO2. Fortunately this beer’s finish improved as it warmed as it became noticably less harsh. This isn’t my “cup of tea” but it may be yours. I can’t recommend it but I will rarely suggest not trying something so with that being said the ball is in your court. Oh yeah, abv = 8%.
