Two Friday links on Thursday night…

Miller and Molson/Coors will combine operations. The article sub-title asks it best, “Can size offset the increasing consumer preference for wine and boutique beers?

Another great post by Lew Bryson on The Buzz “A Six-Pack of Thoughts“.

I’m enjoying the new Radiohead.

Molson Canadian Lager

Molson Canadian LagerSome would say that it’s a travesty to enjoy a Canadian lager on the most American of sports days – Super Bowl Sunday. But, in my humble opinion, Molson makes one of the more pleasant of the ‘cheap’ light beers; oh-so-suitable for session drinking during any sporting event. There isn’t too much to say about this one. It pours a light golden and smells like beer. The flavor has a very mild hop bitterness, but leans more towards a flavor of grains with a light sweetness. Altogether, it isn’t THAT much different than any American macro except for the fact that, in my opinion, it has less of an unpleasant metallic twinge to it. All in all, I’d rank this right up there with PBR on my list of cheap light beers that I can stomach. Seriously, I’m not dissing this or PBR – they’re both pretty tasty light beers.
What are y’all drinking on Super Bowl Sunday?
