Yet again, the Leyerth breweries come through with a delightful beer. This beer is more malty than the previous selections from Leyerth that have focused almost entirely on the hop content. The aroma is standard malt ale and finished through the mouth with considerable carbonation and a pleasant pale taste with some slight sweetness. Another good beer from Leyerth, and the most regular and repeatable beer of the bunch

This beer begins and ends with an excessive CO2 burn that makes it difficult to appreciate the subtle flavors that likely lie within. What I can discern are tasty flavors of dark chocolate, as expected from a bock. However, I generally expect my bocks to be more warming and a bit less sprightly, and this come across overpowering. It might be Matt’s fault for opening this like an amateur, but I’m not impressed

This, my friends, is a tasty brew. The story is that the brewmaster from Belgium visited the U.S., tasted our IPA’s, and decided to make one of her own. This concept comes across well in the aroma and flavor of the beer. The hue and aroma is that of a fine IPA. The flavor and hoppiness of an IPA traverses the palate. But, lo and behold, a tinge of fruit creeps onto the palate, reminiscent of a Flemish ale. More than an IPA, I would consider this a ‘hybrid beer’ of an American IPA and a Flemish Ale. Delicious
