Foothills Brewery Seeing Double IPA
Well, first off, a little disclaimer for the reading public. I had never heard of this beer, nor the brewery, when I tried this beer at Mellow Mushroom in Boone. So after getting home and looking on-line, I found out that this is a brewery located in familiar Winston-Salem, NC. Unfortunately, there was no picture on-line of the Double IPA.
Now to the beer. This beer, on draft, had a magnificent orange hue and was exceptionally creamy. The hops attack the mouth and tastebuds and you can immediately tell that this is an intensely hopped beer. The beer is not altogether bitter, but definitely presents a challenge to the drinker. All in all, I would recommend this beer to anyone who prefers a hoppy nature in their beer – this will certainly satisfy your tastebuds. Foothills Brewery beer is apparently readily available in NC at this point, as well, with several distributors throughout the state.
