He’brew Messiah Bold

He'Brew Messiah BoldI’m ducking for cover in fear that God is going to strike me down with a bolt of lightning for drinking a beer called Messiah Bold. I’ve had favorable experiences with other “He’brew’s” so I’m expecting the same out of this beer. This is a very dark beer, almost black, with little head. It smells heavy of chocolate and toffee, yes toffee. The taste is sweeter than most brown ales, almost like a maple nut brown. There are less coffee flavors, but that’s not to say they are nonexistent. They are just overpowered by chocolate and complimented by a slight nutiness. I only bought one 12oz bottle for the purposes of trying this beer but after tasting it I wish I would have bought more. This is an excellent beer for the winter months and one that I highly recommend. The Shmaltz brewery claims this is “The Chosen Beer” and I’m glad I chose to drink it.
